Wordperfect 5.1 is seriously my favourite wordprocessor (minus the fact that I don't think it can do Greek, assuming I had a synth that could) and I've forgotten how to use it! Can anyone give me some quick pointers? How do I get the help file? I know as soon as I see a quick reference guide I'll be fine. I just need a push in the right direction. Thanks.
Good question, I have never used Word Perfect, have you tried looking around for user manuals?
I'll definitely do that and believe it comes with one that can be accessed from the program. Right now, I'm trying to see if it can handle .rtf files made with Wordpad on Windows XP. I know it won't work with .rtfs made from modern versions of MS Word. If worse comes to worst, I'll just use another program but I really love WP and am hoping I can convert my files either to txt or doc, both of which I know work.
I know with the newer versions of WPE, they can open up.doc files. They have a little bit of MS Word compatability
5.1CAN DEFINITELY HANDLE DOC FILES. I'VE JUST GOTTA SEE IF IT CAN HANDLE RTF. I FORGOT THAT I HAVE KEYSOFT IN THAT COMPUTER TOO, WHICH CONTAINS KEYWORD, SO IF WP5.1 CAN'T READ THEM AND IF TALKING DIRECTORY CAN'T CONVERT THEM, MAYBE I'LL GIVE KEYWORD A TRY. JUST LEARNED ABOUT THEIR INTERNET PROGRAM TOO, SO THAT SOUNDS EXCITING. SEEMS TO BE ALL-IN-ONE.
